Discovering an ecoparadise in Nicaragua

How many of you, after a year spent running around, sometimes got stuck in traffic, to solve problems of any kind at work or at home, would like to find a haven where you can get rid of any anxiety? If this haven had the characteristics of a luxury Ecolodge, set in an exotic rainforest, embraced by a long white sandy beach, would you mind this situation?

In my article I propose the Morgan's Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge, a resort decidedly out of the ordinary that is located in Nicaragua, in a large private nature reserve, just north of the border with Costa Rica, which meets the Pacific Ocean.

Ecolodge means that the buildings have been designed to contain the environmental impact. The villas are immersed in the forest, the style of furniture is a no-frills luxury, very casual, with a view to the jungle and to the bay. Some of these villas have a private pool, but at the top there are the ocean-view bungalows, over a cliff, which can be accessed by a jungle suspension bridge. They comfortably accommodate up to 4 people, and have a bed for daytime outdoor relaxation, attached to sturdy hammock-like strings, ideal for lying down and enjoying a view to the ocean and the surrounding wildlife. Everything is built in wood by skilled Nicaraguan craftsmen and even the furnishings like pottery items and other  artifacts are made by these indigenous creative hands.
 

Here nature is the queen, at the center of all the activities that can be done, showing its ecosystem with many faces. The guides are strictly local and will introduce you to the secrets of the rainforest, both the fauna and the flora. You can wander the trails in the shadow  of the volcano. If you are lucky you will be able to observe the hatching of turtle eggs on the beach. Volunteers who are dedicated to protecting this animal species will explain all the dangers that little turtles face in their moving towards the ocean.  I recommend to the sport practitioners kayaking the lagoon and wandering among the mangroves, and if you are able  to ride a horse, don't miss a ride on the beach!

In the resort there is also a farm that supplies most of the fresh ingredients for meals, the rest is bought from other local farmers, because the resort's policy is oriented towards sustainability and the involvement of indigenous communities. You can have breakfast in this simple and extraordinarily welcoming environment, you can also try your hand at milking the cow, collect the fresh eggs directly and learn how to make delicious tortillas.

You can move on to nourishing the spirit, with daily outdoor yoga lessons, on a platform in contact with the forest and looking to the ocean, or undergoing the treatments and massages of Pasalma's Spa highly trained staff.

How could we define all this? Perhaps eco-paradise is the most fitting definition to describe this decidedly out of the ordinary place.
